Virginia Miller, who also publishes under the name Virginia Austin, lived and worked in New Zealand before moving to England a few years ago. Squeak-a-lot, her first children's book, was runner-up for the prestigious Mother Goose Award in 1991. She has since illustrated Sailor Bear, Small Bear Lost, Kate's Giants, Say Please! and six stories about the bears Bartholomew and George, On Your Potty!, Get Into Bed!, Eat Your Dinner!, In a Minute!
