An author of young adult crime and mystery fiction, Karen M. McManus’ debut novel, One Of Us Is Lying, spent over 5 years on The New York Times bestseller list and was adapted into a hit Netflix series.
Born in 1969, Karen discovered her love of writing aged 8, when she was tasked with writing a story for a school assignment. She studied English Literature at College and went on to earn an MA in Journalism.
One Of Us Is Lying, her debut novel, was published in 2017. Told from multiple perspectives, it tells the story of a group of students who claim to have been framed for a classmate’s death and their attempts to uncover the truth and clear their names. It was an instant hit and remained on The New York Times bestseller list for 267 weeks. Two sequels followed, One Of Us Is Next and One Of Us Is Back.
