Description

A range of simple stories for new readers, with beautiful colour illustrations. Mike and his dog Bowow are relaxing in the Chocolate Hills when the ground starts to tremble and the next moment a gaping hole appears. Before Mike can stop him, Bowow jumps into the hole. Then a note floats up. Party. Come now. Just fall up. There's no time to wonder what it means - Mike jumps in and falls into the most topsy-turvy of adventures. A joyous story celebrating the power of unexpected friendships by award-winning author Candy Gourlay, beautifully brought to life with stunning illustrations by Carles Ballesteros.

Media Reviews

This quirky, imaginative tale is full of unexpected twists and turns, and is sure to engage young children. It demonstrates the importance of not pre-judging others and always extending the hand of friendship. Distinctive, full colour illustrations provide humour and visual interest, while the short chapters are ideal for newly independent readers * BookTrust *
I really loved the bright colours and the fun pictures -- Emaan, aged 5 * Books Up North *
This is a fun and enticing story, perfect for children who are beginning to read independently. The text cleverly helps the reader to add expression by emphasising speech and action by using different bold, large print. It is colourfully illustrated with bold and appealing pictures which will aid the reader with their understanding whilst adding to their engagement * ReadingZone *
