Author's Bio
Chrissie Wellington MBE is an iconic figure in the history of triathlon. A four-time World Ironman Champion, she holds the current world record for the Ironman distance, a race that is widely considered to be one of the most challenging one-day events in world sport (it comprises a 2.4 mile swim followed by a 112 mile cycle and then a marathon). Over her professional career Chrissie remained undefeated at Ironman distance, and also won a number of races over shorter triathlon distances.
