Description

This irresistible follow-up to the bestselling, award-winning The Littlest Yak celebrates new siblings and the way that a heart can grow to fit even more love inside!

Gertie the yak is back! And she's going to be a big sister! Gertie wants the new baby to feel right at home, so she paints a welcome sign, knits a bib and plans to share all her favourite things. But when Gertie realises she might have to share Mummy too, she starts to have a bit of a wobble...

This adorable and touching new adventure for the littlest yak reassures with warmth and humour as Gertie learns that, with the new arrival, she's loved a whole heartful more!

Author's Bio

Lu Fraser is a hugely exciting voice in children's picture books. She is based in Hampshire, where she lives with her husband and daughter, and writes in a shed in the garden. The Littlest Yak, illustrated by Kate Hindley, was her first book for children and went on to secure multiple foreign editions and to win the Oscar's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award. It was followed by two further adventures for Gertie: The Littlest Yak: The New Arrival and The Littlest Yak: Home is Where the Herd Is. Lu is also the author of One Camel Called Doug, Mavis the Bravest and Basil Dreams Big, all illustrated by Sarah Warburton.   Kate Hindley is the much-loved illustrator of both picture books (including the award-winning You Must Bring a Hat, written by Simon Philip) and fiction (The Royal Rabbits of London, written by Santa Montefiore & Simon Sebag Montefiore), as well as the author-illustrator of new board book series, Treacle Street. She lives in Bristol.
