Mel Darmawan (Illustrator)
Mel Darmawan is an illustrator based in Indonesia, where she lives with her husband and their adorable children. Though she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Politics, her passion for illustration blossomed after the birth of her youngest child. A self-taught artist, Mel honed her digital drawing skills through tutorials and by studying the work of her favourite artists. Mel primarily creates vibrant, textured digital art but also enjoys experimenting with traditional techniques. Outside of drawing, Mel treasures time spent reading books with her kids, watching dramas, and savouring delicious food.
