Author's Bio
Thomas Taylor doodled his way through childhood until they let him into Norwich School of Art and Design and then to study illustration at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. His first commissioned work was the cover illustration for a then unknown book called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling. Since then Thomas has written and illustrated many children's picture books, as well as more recently, the critically-acclaimed Legends of Eerie-on-Sea series for older children. Thomas lives on the south coast of England, where he spends his time drawing and sharing stories with his children.
Penny Dann loved to draw so much when she was was little that she kept doing it at college and then Brighton University. Soon after, Penny started illustrating children's books, and she never looked back. Penny has numerous books to her name, from anthologies and poetry collections to early readers and fairytales. She is probably best known for her very popular The Secret Fairy series by Orchard, a lovingly-crafted primer for any girl who dreams of one day becoming a fairy, which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.
Penny sadly passed away in December 2014, though her books continue to be read and loved by children everywhere.
