“Nonstop action, with escapades both perilous and amusing, and exhilarating hairsbreadth escapes.” Kirkus Reviews

“Intriguing characters, foreshadowing, and suspense…” — Wayne Thomas Batson, bestselling author, The Door Within Trilogy

In the third installment of the Britfield Series, Tom and Sarah take Italy, following the Britfields’ path, and stumble upon a family bombshell that shakes the foundation of everything they’ve come to accept.

Meanwhile, the clandestine Committee has struck back against Tom, Sarah, Detective Gowerstone, Interpol agent Fontaine, and the Resistance with a vengeance, crippling their influence, and scattering them across Europe.

When Tom and Sarah’s secret location in Switzerland is discovered, they use their newfound espionage skills and covert training to make it to a designated safe house in northern Italy.

Overpowered and outnumbered, they are ruthlessly hunted throughout Italy by the Black Nobility and a team of assassins. Traversing Turin, Genoa, Portofino, and finally Florence, Tom and Sarah embark on a reckless rescue mission that leaves the rest of the team scrambling to find them again.

They come face to face with Michaelangelo’s David, marvel at the priceless Italian Renaissance art of Galleria Uffizi, maneuver a laser field in a secret library in Vatican City, and execute harrowing escapes with their sense of humor intact.

New friends Henry and Oliver discover a devastating truth, Detective Gowerstone is confronted by a secret from his past, and Inspector Fontaine is pushed to her limits.

Will Tom and Sarah ever find the Britfields? Relationships will be challenged, and trust broken and redeemed, in this unparallelled adventure.

A celebration of courage, friendship, and mischief, this book is an instant classic.

The Britfield Series, a combination of C.S. Lewis and Dan Brown, is ideal for pre-teens, YA fans, and readers of all ages, and provides stunning historical and geographical detail to enrich the reading experience.
