Jill Clough Author of Morph: Lakeland Book of the Year Award 2019; "A well written, page-turning tale of loss and awakening with engaging characters and hilarious moments. I can’t wait to read the next."Heather Peck Author of Glass Arrows Shortlisted 2021 East Anglian Book Awards ;"Definitely my favourite book this year. Funny, touching, richly described and so captivating. It deserves to be a best-seller." Kerena Swan Award winning author of Scared to Breathe ;"A midlife holiday is a funny totally relatable read that I loved from start to finish!" Netgalley Reviewer ;"I absolutely loved this book. It’s just beautiful and has such a genuine truth in the story." Netgalley reviewer ; "How refreshing for the main characters to be of this age for a change. I would highly recommend this novel and am looking forward to the second part of the trilogy." Netgalley Reviewer ;"This is a thought provoking book, especially for ‘women of a certain age’." Netgalley Reviewer ;"I really enjoyed this beautifully written, funny, relatable easy read about friendship but with so much more." Netgalley Reviewer ;"A thoroughly enjoyable read!" Netgalley Reviewer; "I found Midlife Holiday unexpectedly profound, maybe because I turn 50 myself this year." Netgalley Reviewer ; "It's a life affirming story but it's also a story about getting old, losing the sense of who you are and finding it again." Netgalley Reviewer; "The author is a good storyteller, the characters are fleshed, and the plot flows." Netgalley Reviewer ;"The author handles it all beautifully with a well-written and entertaining novel!" Netgalley Reviewer ; "It is a joyous funny read but covers the aspects of life that women of this age encounter." Netgalley Reviewer; "When does a role become an all-consuming identity at the expense of an authentic life? This novel explores the complexities of adult life with some controversial elements that are sure to ruffle some readers’ feathers. I envision lively discussions of these characters choices as a book club reading." Netgalley Reviewer ; " It will open your emotions and make it impossible to close the book." Netgalley Reviewer ;"A highly enjoyable read, if at times thought provoking, about three friends who go on holiday to Cyprus." Netgalley Reviewer ;"A lovely story about friendship, life and love." Netgalley Reviewer ;" I binged it in one session and really enjoyed it." Netgalley Reviewer

Author's Bio
Cary is a fifty something mum of three, an ex-dancer, actress, waitress, cleaner, TV presenter, double-glazing sales rep, fax machine operator (what's a fax machine?) You name it and she's cleaned it, served it, sent it or sold it. After years of globe-trotting and messing about, she settled down to a BA in Literature and Creative Writing, got a First Class and promptly moved to Sweden to start her own mid-life adventure. She swims in the Baltic sea year round, paddle-boards under midnight suns and has learned to sail. The author of six books and several short stories, Cary's work has been shortlisted in national and international competitions. She writes stories about ordinary people, living lives of extraordinary courage and indestructible humour. She promises only two things: no knights in shining armour and no flying cars. Her characters save themselves, as in the end we all must do. To learn more visit: https://www.caryjhansson.com/
