Rex is a spirited, curious little dinosaur with four older friends who are a guiding influence in his life. In Not Sleepy, Rex sets out to discover how his friends get to sleep. One by one they show him how to brush his teeth, enjoy a relaxing bath, find (and use) his own pee-pee tree and snuggle down with a good book. Enter Big T, Rex’s grandpa and hero, to put sleepy Rex to bed and as he does he reminds Rex that we all need sleep, so we can play again the next day!

Paula Bowles is an award-winning children's book illustrator based in Weston-super-Mare. She is the illustrator of There's a Poonami in My House (Gallery Kids), shortlisted for the British Book Awards in 2025, and the ‘Marv’ young fiction series, written by Alex Falase-Koya (Oxford University Press).
