MANDEM explored what it means to be a black man in contemporary Britain, ultimately attempting to break down existing stereotypes. The collection of essays examine crucial issues like the importance of male role-models and the unique relationship between mother and son; it looks at the sexual pressure on young heterosexual men and asks what contemporary black queerness looks like.
