Description

Secure subject knowledge and understanding allows trainees greater confidence and authority and are better equipped to become effective and creative teachers. This coursebook has been written specifically to help trainee primary teachers develop their mathematics subject knowledge. This new, third edition has been brought into line with the new QTS Standards, and reflects latest thinking from the Primary National Strategy and other recent initiatives. Keeping popular features from previous editions, new reflective tasks and "Moving On" sections have been added to build on information in each chapter. New material has been added and material reorganised where appropriate to increase clarity.
