Description
Rowing is more about elegant style than raw power. This book introduces the beginner to the essential techniques, which can be applied on and off the water (with the aid of rowing machines ); it explains body coordination (with and without slide), and continues with advanced techniques for single sculling or rowing in teams. In addition to text and photography to demonstrate the skills of the sport, the book also covers training and coaching for competitive rowing, as well as describing how to get involved in the sport's non-competitive, recreational side, such as sea rowing.
