Media Reviews
'An important turning point in the development of studies of men's practices. This is a lively, up-beat and readily accessible collection which should inform both theory and practice in the years to come.' David H.J. Morgan, author of Discovering Men 'A wonderful collection, full of important information and impressive analysis. This book shows how men create pro-feminist personal movement and political movements, man to man and nation by nation. An essential work for the essential project of changing masculinities on a global scale.' Harry Brod, editor of The Making of Masculinities: The New Men's Studies 'Research on men, masculinities and globalization addresses matters of central importance for world development. This book is a good introduction to the wide range of issues involved [and] a valuable update on recent research developments.' Øystein Gullvåg Holter, Work Research Institute, Oslo 'If there is such a thing as applied gender theory, this is its first textbook.' Choice
