Todd Lawson is Professor of Islamic Thought at the University of Toronto in the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations. He has published numerous articles on the interpretation of the Qur'an, among which are 'Interpretation as Revelation' (1988) and 'Qur'an Commentary as Sacred Performance' (1998).
