Description
From France's leading panoramic photographer, the results of an unprecedented 20-year project to search out and document the country's untouched landscapes. All the images are taken with a classic panoramic camera. France is a perennially favourite destination for visitors, with many much-loved landscapes from the Aiguilles de Chamonix to Mont-Saint-Michel, or from the volcanoes of Auvergne to the calanques of Marseille. Yet, lesser known vistas also abound. Here in one unique volume are all the finest unspoilt views to be found in France, both familiar and waiting to be discovered. The locations have been selected from across the whole of France, including the Alps, Aquitaine, Auvergne, Bourgogne, Brittany, Champagne-Ardenne, Corsica, Jura, Languedoc-Roussillon, Limousin, Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Poitou Charente, Provence, Cote D'azur, the Pyrenees, and Rhone. Sentucq's mastery of the panoramic format replicates the dizzying wonder and liberating experience of these views like no other medium can. 'Renowned French photographer Herve Sentucq's photographs are the result of years in search of the unusual angles and fleeting light which enhance the beauty of our surroundings.' Scots Magazine
