Media Reviews

Laugh-out-loud story that's perfect for children who are making new friends at school or nursery, with some magnificently noisy animals to join in with. -- The Bookseller
A warm and clever picture book which puts the importance of sharing and inclusion centre stage. -- Lancashire Evening Post
This book is fantastic for teaching children what it feels like to be left out and how including others can be the best solution to make everyone happy. It is a good resource for fostering empathy, children might put themselves in the shoes of the main character who isn't let into the other animals' clubs, and imagine how they would feel in that situation. -- SEN Resources
This heart-warming story is a lovely celebration of the importance of diversity and friendship. -- Parents in Touch
This is a fun book to read, and its gentle but important message is definitely a good one to share! -- The Bookbag

Author's Bio

John Kelly has been illustrating, writing, and designing books since just after the invention of the clay tablet in Ancient Mesopotamia. He has now moved on to shouting at a computer screen, sharpening endless pencils, and staring at a blank page of a Moleskine notebook. He lives in a mythical suburb of South London with his wife who is also a full-time muse. Steph is an illustrator and character designer, based in the San Francisco Bay area of California. She works in several fields, including publishing, TV & feature animation, toy design and licensing. Her love for art is rivalled only by her fascination with the animal kingdom. She also loves to travel, and next on her bucket list is visiting the Weihnachtsmarkt in Germany!
