Media Reviews
Collections of poetry are something to return to over and again, so a beautifully illustrated hardcover anthology of poems is to be treasured. This well-chosen collection of 33 poems covers the whole gamut of feelings. Piet Grobler's beautiful and thoughtful illustrations sensitively reflect the theme of each poem and the variety of styles is fascinating - it's amazing to know they are all from one artist. Parents in Touch 'The illustrations are edgy ...the poems also provide opportunities for children to talk about how a writer's choice of words use of shape, grammatical structure, punctuation, rhyme and rhythm achieve certain affects.' Practical Pre-School Magazine Many of the poems are bound to appeal to children by way of their word-play and humour... All in all then, these 'poems about feelings' make an enjoyable collection with scope for opening up discussions about emotions and moods, with each page enhanced by Piet Grobler's colourful and distinctive illustrations. Montessori International 'A book of real quality, beautifully presented, with colourful illustrations throughout and an impressive range of material. ... A book to treasure.' School Librarian A fab collection of poems about how we feel from around the world. Angels and Urchins A lovely production The Bookseller How different poems capture different moods and moments unfolds beautifully in both Wendy Cooling's careful choice of poems and Piet Grobler's vivid illustrations. -- Julia Eccleshare LoveReading4Kids to be treasured Parents in Touch
