Author's Bio

Laurie Krebs, a seasoned traveller and former teacher, visited the Amazon rainforest to research this project. A mother of four grown children and five grandchildren, she seeks to expose all children to a variety of different cultures and environments through her writing. This book is based on Laurie's travels down the Amazon River in 2008 with a Ribereno guide. Anne Wilson gains much of her inspiration and sense of colour from her travels. She has an MA in Illustration from St. Martin's College of Art, London, and has been illustrating children's books for several years.
