Andrew McCloy is well acquainted with writing walking guides, being the author of Coastal Walks Around Britain (New Holland) and The Land's End to John o'Groat's Walk (Cordee) as well as various titles on the Peak District. He is a keen long-distance walker and was formerly the information officer for the Ramblers' Association. He lives in Derbyshire.
