...This is one of my favorite greetings card books already, and I haven't had it for long! Embroider on felt, emboss metal, blow the dust off those glass and silk paints and wrap simple shapes with wire and those odd beads you've been keeping for ages. Even if you haven't stuffed your cupboards with all these items the designs are easily adaptable (eg ordinary paints instead of silk paints) and most of the items are relatively inexpensive and easy to obtain. The designs vary from traditional with a modern twist to contemporary, and for once all the cards in the gallery have patterns too! This makes the book excellent value, and the large stages photographs are easy to follow making the projects a breeze. For once, easy doesn't mean plain and children can do several of the projects with little or no adult supervision. One for the keeper shelf.

(Reviewed together with Glitter Cards by Polly Pinder)

I could not wait to make the cards in these two books. The ideas are brilliant and use easily obtainable materials that are not expensive...The instructions are easy to follow and the results very pleasing...Recommended for anyone who likes craft and wants to send out more personal cards. (Susan, aged 12).
