Author's Bio
John McLay, the compiler of this anthology, is an International literary scout for children's book publishers in Europe. He has written about and reviewed children's books for publications as varied and eminent as Amazon, The Financial Times, Publishing News and Books for Keeps. Previous to this he was variously a Rights Director, the editor of Puffin Post Magazine for Penguin Books, spent three years as a children's bookseller in Waterstone's and worked in children's television at the BBC. All this means that John is in contact with all the best people in children's publishing, is well positioned to find the voices of this generation and is fully aware of his child to teenage audience's reading needs.
