A science course for Key Stage 3 that offers a complete match to QCA Scheme of Work and Science Framework. The course adopts the visual style of Letts Success Guides to provide an accessible magazine-style layout. Each student book contains an introduction and review section - the structure of which allows each year to begin with a review of the previous year's work, and to introduce the year to come. Additionally each unit ends with a review page, useful for revision. Each lesson starts with a review of prior learning and experience which emphasises links between new and previous learning and avoids repetition, and is divided into 4 sections - aims, starter, development and plenary. Also, each student book has a key ideas feature for each sequence of lessons and a connections section at the end of each unit which empahasises links between units and topics. Throughout the book, use of scientific vocabulary is identified as one of the challenges of learning science.
