Media Reviews

The story is told in fast-moving rhyming couplets, never more than six lines on a generous page, just right to read aloud to a 3- or 4-year-old. This means there is plenty of room for Claire Powell's vivid palate to bring the story to life, with a lot to see and talk about on every page. -- David Mallett

Author's Bio

Suzy Senior lives and works at the top of a huge hill in Sheffield. She lives with her family, a small gang of tropical fish and quite a lot of books. She loves writing picture books, making things rhyme and eating jaffa cakes - ideally all at the same time! Life for Claire began in a cupboard under the stairs. Not as punishment like Harry Potter ñ it's where she went to draw. Before becoming an illustrator, Claire cut her teeth designing for big-hitting brands Nickelodeon, BBC and DreamWorks Animation. She also animated an award winning short film 'The Scapegoat'. Claire lives and works in London, in a studio just bigger than a cupboard.
