Author's Bio
David Fraser was educated at the London School of Economics and Political Science and at the University of Bristol. He worked in industry for four years; this was followed by a short period as a teacher. He then joined the Probation Service and for twenty-seven years worked in a variety of magistrates’ courts and prisons in London and the Southwest. His last employment was with the National Criminal Intelligence Service (now the National Crime Agency) where he worked for ten years as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst.
He has written and lectured extensively about crime, sentencing and justice in the UK and in New Zealand. His first book, A Land Fit for Criminals was recommended for the George Orwell Prize in Literature.
Over the last five years he has turned to writing stories for children and young people. The Heroes of Honeysuckle Farm was inspired by his personal connection with Australia; by real events and the stories of others brought back from their travels.
He is married and lives with his wife in the West Country. He has two adult children and two grandchildren.
