Description

Be warned, the knowledge given in this manuscript cannot be unlearnt.

After vandalising an elderly woman’s house and receiving a Criminal Behaviour Order, Tabitha is given a second chance. Through this second chance she meets Marguerite and acquires a mysterious document.  The document is said to have been dictated by Tavia, a long dead nun from the 2nd Century, and charts her perilous journey through Britannia. Sent by Pope Eleutherius and accompanied by Fagan and Deruvian their primary mission is to Baptise the eccentric and enthusiastic King Lucius II.

When Tabitha tries to work out the origin and importance of the document her life begins to mirror the content. As her story unfolds so too does Tavia’s extraordinary expedition embellished with footnotes from 1952. It is through these footnotes Tabitha learns how Marguerite’s own life became entwined with the ominous manuscript.

By the end they may find themselves in the arms of angels or quite as easily shaking hands with a devil.

From the Back cover:
When Tabitha is willed a stack of Occult books, she finds a document that entwines her life with the lives of three other woman across centuries of time. As she tries to uncover more about the mysterious text, the line between reality and some long-forgotten history begins to blur.

Author's Bio

Rosanna Ogle grew up in the Forest of Dean. She began writing poetry and prose from a very early age and left the career she began after leaving secondary school to go to university in her mid-twenties and try to improve the quality of her writing. Her poetry and prose is influenced by her working-class rural upbringing and outdoor work but also includes elements of the occult and the darker side of human existence. She often challenges herself to explore difficult themes and attempts to present them in creative and postmodern ways.
