Lucy Mallows is a freelance photojournalist, editor and translator. She writes regularly for national newspapers and magazines and translates professionally from Hungarian to English. She first visited Bratislava - in the then Czechoslovakia - in 1982, when studying Russian and Czech at Leeds University.
