Although built in small numbers for the USAF, the F-104C fought and survived for almost three years in Vietnam. Peter E Davies has written or co-written numerous books on modern American combat aircraft, including the standard reference work on US Navy and Marine Corps Phantom II operations, Gray Ghosts. He is based in Bristol, UK.
A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Rolando Ugolini graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1982 and moved to Suffolk soon after. His work is split between designing books, freelance graphic design and aviation illustration. Clients include EADS, Airbus and most aviation/modelling magazines.
