Author's Bio

Native San Franciscan Erika Lenkert has authored more than two dozen travel guides to San Francisco and California, including several Frommer's guidebooks. During her twenty-five years in journalism, she's written a restaurant column for San Francisco magazine, was a restaurant critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, and has authored feature stories on the Bay Area for national magazines, such as Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, and In Style. Erika now resides across the Golden Gate Bridge, in Marin County, but still considers the city her home.
