She was a programmer for many years, until she decided that writing about computers was more fun. Stephen Spainhour is a writer for O'Reilly & Associates. He co-authored Webmaster in a Nutshell, Perl in a Nutshell, and has contributed to many other O'Reilly titles. He is an avid fan of professional tennis, and when he's not checking for tennis scores on the Web, he enjoys cooking, electronic music, troubleshooting his home-built PC, and watching too much television Prior to joining O'Reilly & Associates as UNIX system administrator, Nathan Patwardhan was a software developer and system administrator for Banta Integrated Media in Cambridge, MA. When not hacking Perl or advocating FreeBSD and Linux to his friends, coworkers, relatives, and other folks who don't know UNIX from Munich, Nathan is an avid music collector
