The layout of this book was perfect for myself and my 13 year old. He has dyslexia so often finds large amounts of text daunting and puts him off reading. This book has a great mix of pictures, facts, stories, and statistics. It is put together in a variety of ways that is not a continuous block of text. Which helped immensely with my sons confidence, concentration, and interest to keep reading. Each section is fun and engaging whilst being easy to read and understand. Matt Oldfield grew up in Southampton, playing football with his brother Tom. The two brothers are the authors of the bestselling Ultimate Football Heroes series – fun football biographies that tell the exciting life stories of superstars like Gareth Bale, Lionel Messi and Mo Salah, from the playground through to the pitch. He is also the author of the Johnny Ball: Football Genius series and Unbelievable Football, which won the Telegraph Children’s Sports Book of the Year in 2020.
