Media Reviews

6 books in and Louie doesn’t let the momentum drop. With this book, I loved the continued emotional depth we get to see with our favourite trickster, Loki: those family bonds are getting stronger and I loved seeing how he approaches his emotions in this story. There’s lots to teach children besides all the Nordic mythology! Iconic, bonkers and hilarious – I haven’t met a child yet who doesn’t adore Loki! -- Tom G * Check 'Em Out Books *
I ate this one up, honestly it may be the best in the series so far. In this book we have all the humour and silliness from the previous books, but Loki’s personal growth in this one just SHINES. . . heartwarming. * Netgalley Reviewer *
A great continuation of an enjoyable and humorous series! . . It’s a delight to return to these characters and see them in a new adventure. * Netgalley Reviewer *
This is easily the best in the series. . . I am sure that my students are going to love this one. * Netgalley Reviewer *

Author's Bio

Louie Stowell writes books about magic, gods and monsters (mostly). She has written carefully researched books about space, ancient Egypt, politics and science but eventually lapsed into just making stuff up. She has written fiction for 8–12 (Nosy Crow and Walker Books US), but Loki: A Bad God's Guide series is her first as both author and illustrator, inspired by her research into Norse myths.
