Description

Jake is baking a birthday cake for his best friend Sam. But his sweet treat turns monstrous when his friends help out: spider legs, rotten eggs, slugs and slime are definitely not in Jake's recipe book! Sam could be in for a very smelly surprise!

Have fun with the stinky scratch and sniff stickers in this screamingly smelly story!

From the brilliant author and illustrator team behind Pirate Pete and His Smelly Feet, Lucy Rowland and Mark Chambers, the bright, bold illustrations bring life to the brilliantly funny rhyming story.

Author's Bio

Lucy Rowland grew up in Cheltenham and gained a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Reading before becoming a children's speech and language therapist in South London where she now lives. Lucy has loved reading and listening to poetry from a young age and has turned her passion into writing picture book stories with quirky characters and irresistible rhythms. Lucy is also the author of Pirate Pete and His Smelly Feet by Macmillan Children's Books.

Mark Chambers was born in Aberdeen on a cold and windy day and shortly afterwards moved to warmer climates down south in rural Lincolnshire. Although he wanted to be a professional golfer, chef and fighter pilot (not all at the same time), he found that his skills were much more suited to being an illustrator so he went on to study a degree in Illustration at the University of Lincoln. Since then Mark has illustrated a wealth of picture books and young fiction. He is a previous winner of the Sheffield Children's Picture Book Prize for Pigeon Poo (Little Tiger Press) and was shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize with Noisy Bottoms (Usborne). Mark lives and works in Lincoln. Mark is also the illustrator of Pirate Pete and His Smelly Feet by Macmillan Children's Books.
