Description

Folktale and thriller are brilliantly interwoven in this fast-paced novel. The mysterious boy who Lissy encounters at a deserted train station acts like he has known her all her life. Unnerved by his unnatural beauty, she sets about uncovering the dark secret of the village of Hopesay Edge. The boy, Larkspur, is a member of the Hidden, an ancient group of elven people and Lissy quickly finds herself fighting to escape from a powerful elven magic. A bargain has been made that cannot be broken, and if the Hidden catch Lissy now, they will never let her go.

A magical fairy tale with a twist * Bliss Magazine *
Hidden Among Us is beautifully written, in a spare, lyrical style which reminds me of the best kind of poetry -- Zoe Marriott
Fans of old magic stories, fairytales and the supernatural will love this book, and it doesn't disappoint * Chicklish *
There is so much paranormal on the market, it's rare to find a new creature so I liked the new race of Hidden in this book * Victoria Writes *
Hidden Among Us is a shadowy tale that really caught my attention and I'm glad it did because it was ace. A marvellous tale about old worlds colliding with the new and the dark things that lurk in the shadows that you shouldn't trust if you value your life. Imaginative and dark with a fighting spirit. * Sister Spooky *
The story is magical and terrifying...I really do think it's a keeper * Readaraptor *
A great book full of folklore, excitement and a hell of a lot of mystery * Page After Page *
Deliciously menacing and utterly uncanny * Thoughts from the Hearthfire *

A grippingly creepy and wild adventure with the fae * My Book Journey *
The twists and turns of Hidden Among Us, indicates that author, Katy Moran may have spent a little time with the elven herself! I will definitely be picking up a copy of the sequel * Big Book Little Book *
Be you a fan of folklore or not; you will find this book difficult to put down * Moloney King *
This is a highly enjoyable YA book that I think has the potential to appeal to those who don't normally read books about the Fae, as well as those who adore them. It's beautifully written and an exciting, chilling tale as well. * Choose YA *
The plot is full of twists and the result is an brilliantly dark mystery * CBI Recommended Reads 2013 *
Thrilling and chilling * Booktrust *
This book, although for children up to the age of 12, would probably appeal to a much wider audience. I have not read a book quite like it, and the originality made it shine above others within the same genre. I would most definitely recommend it! * Booktuation *
