Author's Bio

Julia Donaldson is an extremely prolific and well-known author. The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom are two of her best-known books - they have won many prizes and topped the best-seller charts. Julia has also written four Bananas: Spinderella, The Wrong Kind of Bark, Follow the Swallow (also a picture book illustrated by Pam Smy) and The Quick Brown Fox Cub, also illustrated by Lucy Richards. Julia lives in Glasgow. Lucy Richards is a much-loved illustrator. Her debut picture book, The Magic Sky, won the Gold Medal at the Practical Preschool Awards 2005. It is also available as a book and audio CD. Lucy has also illustrated two Banana books - Mairi's Mermaid by Michael Morpurgo and The Quick Brown Fox Cub by Julia Donaldson. She lives in Wiltshire.
