Author's Bio
JUDITH PHILLIPS is Professor of Social Work and Gerontology, Swansea University, UK. She has worked in social work practice, teaching and research for a number of years. Her previous publications include Women Ageing, The Family and Community Life of Older People, The Social Policy of Old Age, and Juggling Work and Family Life. MO RAY is Research Fellow in the School of Social Relations, University of Keele, UK. She has worked as a practitioner and manager in a specialist team for older people and in a community care team. She has also taught for several year
