Media Reviews

“James Devenney, in the latest edition, with his careful exposition of the theories of sale and supply of goods, explores and fills an important gap in the commercial law literature. He skilfully explains and examines the origins of sales law, types of transactions and goods, and the elements of a sale of goods transaction. It is a leading book rich with evidence and examples. This book will lead the field in addressing legal problems in the sale and supply of goods transactions.”

Orkun Akseli, Professor of Commercial Law and Academic Director of Manchester LawTech Initiative, The University of Manchester Law School, UK

“In its original form this was a thoughtful and clearly expressed text. It has been further enhanced and fully updated by Professor Devenney; it has retained its insight and clarity but has a welcome breadth which will appeal to an even wider readership. Its analysis of international private law matters will also make it very useful to students of International Trade and ‘dry’ Maritime Law. It will be essential reading for my students at both undergraduate and post graduate level.”

Anthony Rogers, Senior Lecturer, Cardiff Law School, UK
