Author's Bio

Loretta Gallo-Lopez, MA, RPT-S, RDT-BCT, merges her experience as a play therapist and board-certified drama therapist and trainer in her psychotherapy practice in Tampa, Florida. She is a former adjunct professor in the Drama Therapy program at New York University. She has authored several chapters on play and drama therapy and has presented trainings nationally on topics related to sexual abuse and creative approaches to therapy with children, adolescents, and families.

Charles E. Schaefer, PhD, PPT-S, a nationally renowned child psychologist, is professor emeritus of psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. He is co-founder and director emeritus of the Association for Play Therapy and has written or edited more than sixty-five books on parenting, child psychology, and play therapy, including The Therapeutic Use of Child's Play, Family Play Therapy, and Short-Term Play Therapy for Children. Schaefer maintains a private practice in child psychotherapy in Hackensack, New Jersey.
