The author, Patricia Kendell, writes material to help children understand why wildlife is in danger and what they can do to help. She is also a part-time Education Officer with WWF-UK. The consultant, Andy Johnson, manages the Sea Otter Research and Conservation programme at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This programme conducts research and rehabilitation activities with sea otters in California, and seeks the long-term survival of this threatened population.
