Showing how best to tackle a range of fences selected from actual cross-country events, this book follows rider Leslie Law and his horses through a range of events at novice, intermediate and advanced levels. Every course asks different questions of the horses and riders who tackle it, and every course designer has a different aim in mind when planning a course. Some concentrate on speed and boldness, others on an increased degree of accuracy, and the competitors' technical ability is continually tested by new fences and combinations.
