Description

Road Bike Maintenance provides cycling enthusiasts with step-by-step guidance to maintaining and repairing their bikes, combining an easy-to-use format and design with high quality photographs of the latest equipment. Understanding how to look after your own bike is a necessary skill - particularly given the costs of modern bikes (even basic bikes are around GBP500) and services in bike shops (often GBP100 plus). This book guides the reader through every repair possible on a road bike and also give tips on how to spot the early warning signs of trouble so that you can fix the problem before it leads to costly relacements. The spiral bound design means that the book will open flat so that you can easily follow the fully illustrated step-by-step guidance. It is the perfect reference manual to have in your shed or workshop and also contain lots of tips on how to conduct quick repairs if you get into trouble while out on the road.

Media Reviews

Ultimately this is a great read for anyone interested in comtemporary road bikes London Cyclist (June 2008) The book is well laid out with some 11 sections covering all aspects...each section is accompanied by some of the best and clearest photographs I have ever seen demonstrating the techniques explained in the chapter. The book is well indexed and finding specific information is very easy. In a praiseworthy attempt to make a predominantly technical book more readable features such as a day in the life of a race mechanic are included... It is a very good book which I would recommend to anyone getting serious about bike maintenance, or wishing to build up a bike using modern materials Cycling World Crisp Photos and brilliantly lucid text. Maintenance manuals don't come any better than this CNBC European Business, Sept 2008
