Description

It's Baby Cockerel's job to wake everybody up in the morning, but there's just one problem - he doesn't know how! The pigs and cows and ducks all try to help, but nothing seems to work. Luckily, the wise old owl comes to the rescue. This is a funny, noisy, quack-along story from Ivor Baddiel and Sophie Jubb, beautifully illustrated by Ailie Busby. Full of friendly farmyard animals, young children will love joining in with the Baby Cockerel and laughing when he doesn't get it quite right.

Author's Bio

Ivor Baddiel and Sophie Jubb are prolific children's writers, perhaps explained by the fact that they have a little girl and boy themselves. Sophie teaches young children and uses her stories in lessons. Ivor used to be a teacher but is now a scriptwriter for television and radio, having also written a children's book on football for Dorling Kindersley and four Unexplained titles for Macdonald Young Books. Ailie Busby was born in London and grew up in Corby, Northamptonshire. She studied graphic design at Nene College, illustration at East Anglia Polytechnic in Cambridge and printmaking at Chelsea and Westminster College. Ailie's wonderfully observant eye and her sense of humour bring great charm and fun to her illustrations. She has previously been published by Orion, Egmont and Scholastic and titles include Hey, Diddle Diddle, Rosie's Zoo and Christmas is Coming, as well as the successful large format nursery rhyme book, Time for a Rhyme. She lives in Newcastle with her husband and two young children.
