Author's Bio
Eleanor Nairne is Head of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She was Senior Curator at Barbican Art Gallery, London, where her exhibitions included ‘Alice Neel: Hot off the Griddle’ (2023), ‘Jean Dubuffet: Brutal Beauty’ (2021), ‘Lee Krasner: Living Colour’ (2019) and ‘Basquiat: Boom for Real’ (2017).
