The aim of this textbook is to enable students to concentrate fully on the text which sets out the often difficult principles and concepts involved in the law of contract in an accessible and easily understandable way. All necessary references are included in the text, so that footnotes are avoided. Full account has been taken of the substantial developments in the law of contract since the last edition. Significant and far reaching decisions of the House of Lords such as "Caparo Industries Ltd v. Dickman" and "D&F Estates Ltd v. Church Commissioners for England and Wales" are included as well as decisions of the Court of Appeal and those at first instance. The effect of important statutes such as the Minors' Contract Act 1987 and the Law of Property (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1989 is also considered in detail.
