Description

"Baggage" tells the tale of Randall, a happy-go-lucky but disaster-prone lost property officer working for the Tram service, deep in the heart of Triptych City. Randall's weary boss has presented him with an impossible ultimatum: either he locates the owner of the oldest item stored in the immense lost property warehouse by the end of the day, or he's out of a job! So begins an adventurous journey through a wondrous city. Randall's enquiries attract a myriad of bizarre, often amusing, and sometimes dangerous characters. Clues are uncovered where and when he least expects them, and help arrives from the strangest of quarters. But wherever Randall goes, trouble is sure to follow. Will he succeed in his impossible mission? And even if he does, just how much of the city will be left standing?

Media Reviews

The whole adventure is perfectly constructed for younger readers, lots of build up to a set piece, then a huge climactic moment, and then on to the next piece, the next clue * Forbidden Planet *
A visual delight that works just as well for adults as it does for children * Down The Tubes *
With all the energy of an animated cartoon, Baggage has enough craziness to entertain even the most hyperactive kid. You shouldn't have any problem getting them to settle down and read for a change * Bear Alley *
There's something very special about the Etheringtons' empathic relationship with their target audience * Broken Frontier *
With it's strong sense of pace and drama, Baggage shows the Etherington Brothers' reputation as creators of great comic stories, told equally skillfully in words and pictures, going from strength to strength -- Julia Eccleshare * Guardian *
