William McIlvanney is one of Scotland's foremost writers whose award-winning novels include LAIDLAW, THE PAPERS OF TONY VEITCH, THE BIG MAN, which was made into a film starring Liam Neeson, STRANGE LOYALTIES, and THE KILN.
