Author's Bio
RUTH ETCHELLS is a distinguished lay theologian who has combined the study of English literature and theology for much of her life. In 1978 she was appointed Principal of St Johns College with Cranmer Hall, thus becoming the first lay person and the first woman to be heard of a Church of England college.
