Katherine Stannett lives in a small village in Sussex with her husband, two lively children, two dogs and one cat. She studied Russian at the London School of Slavonic and East European Studies and then went on to teach English in England and in Japan. She spent many years editing EFL material before she decided to have a go at writing. As well as 'Hot Spot' 3 4, she has written 'Take Shape' Workbooks 4 6 and 'Macmillan Secondary Course' Teacher's Books and magazines for Macmillan and also 'Timesaver Raps!
