Media Reviews
"As Eboni navigates the complex insecurities and ups and downs of new friendship, the narrative strikes a well-considered balance between identifying unhealthy relationship dynamics and normalising disagreement between friends … For sports fans, from the very first page, Eboni’s matches are narrated with vivid commentary. Immersed in the action, the reader experiences the highs, lows and tensions of each game alongside the protagonist … The balance between the thrilling action on the football field and Eboni’s emotional struggles off it provides a mix of tension and relief that is sure to keep readers engaged." — Children's Books Ireland
Author's Bio
Eve loves to read (and watch) dramatic stories and thrillers and was compelled to write The Crash after reading about some friends in a car who crashed into the middle of nowhere. She wondered what might happen if a larger group, made up of people who didn't really like each other, were put in a similar situation. The Crash is a story about survival, teamwork but above everything else it is about friendship.
