Author's Bio

Richard O'Neill is an award winning storyteller and author brought up in a nomadic Romani community in the north East of England. He has a keen interest in ecology, recycling and traditional crafts. Michelle Russell, a former Early Years Teacher and bus driver, is an author and illustrator, based in Cumberland & Westmorland (formerly known as Cumbria). She can trace her paternal Travelling Showman heritage back several generations, that brought all the fun of the fair to communities in the north West and English Scottish Borders. While her maternal heritage links back to the Reivers and coal miners. Mitch Miller is an award-winning artist and illustrator who has created various images for books, magazines and exhibitions. He ‘invented’ the ‘dialectogram’ style of illustration but the really interesting thing about him is that he is the Great-Grandson of a Victorian Lady Boxer.
